Episode 3 opens with Tami and Evelyn discussing Ochocinco. (???? Who kidnapped Tami and replaced her with this softhead?)
Evelyn says the rumors are affecting because it’s not just her, it’s the children. She is close to his children and her daughter sleeps upstairs. (Hmm, I wonder if all three of them have synchronized periods? Ocho looks the type who’d bleed for days)
That evening, Suzie finally introduces Evelyn to the new girls, Kenya and Kesha. They are critical of Kenya’s YouTube video but she’s a good sport about it. Evelyn leaves thinking Kenya is a bit off.
The following day, Kenya hosts auditions for her new video and is pleased by the support she’s received. Kesha and Royce are there to offer assistance so it’s particularly awkward when Kenya refers to Kesha’s criticisms during a tearful speech.
Kesha is unimpressed… “I was offended by what you just said”. They argue but Kesha stays on.
Later Kesha meets Tami and Royce. She invites both to a fund-raising dinner for her friend, Jackie, who has a brain tumor. Kesha leaves thinking Tami is abrasive.
Meanwhile, Evelyn takes her sister, Sylvia, to the spa. It’s a treat for her given her husband’s fight with cancer. It’s been six months since Sylvia had her nails done, but Evelyn… kind, considerate Evelyn comforts her, “well at least you have them clean”. (Wtf? This bitch is so condescending for a bitch from the Bronx projects. You get the feeling Evelyn would pay someone to brush her teeth if people had that service, just so she could say I pay to have my teeth brushed.)
Evelyn, then joins Tami for Shaunie’s first meeting with Kenya and Kesha. The tension between the two new girls is obvious so Kesha reports what happened at Kenya’s audition.
Everyone agrees that Kesha was rightly upset but Kenya’s point is if you give constructive criticism, then own it. (Kenya is a crackpot, but she sees through these bitches.)
Despite the unanimous disapproval of her, Kenya, through Royce, solicits Tami’s help and advice on her image. Tami agrees.
At the meeting Tami brings her ‘glam squad’ (Two roll-neck dummies and one of those guys who thinks because he’s gay he can’t get slapped for saying insulting shit)
The meeting is a disaster, Kenya is as prepared as FEMA for Hurricane Katrina. She has no pictures and, according to Tami, “brought the CD player from the hotel she was staying at” to play her music. (Haha)
Elsewhere, Royce hosts a fundraiser but is embarrassed by Suzie’s drunken behavior. (Scripted shit that adds nothing to the show)
The episode ends strongly, with Tami meeting her psychotherapist and admitting she was raped twice and tortured for 4 days. (Wth?)
And she adds, “People have beaten me up, people that I thought loved me”.
