It’s after midnight now but I haven’t gone to bed yet so I guess that means I need to try not to spoil anything before getting to this recap.
This episode opens not with Walt exiting from the red pickup van but Saul. He too is in need of an identity change and the guy tells him that he will be slated to go to Nebraska but first he needs a few days to find an appropriate place for Saul since he is locally famous. He also informs Saul that he will have to stay in his bunker with Walt who appears to be going nuts in his room.
Meanwhile some DEA agents drive Marie home and promise that they will do everything in their power to find Hank and Steve. When they arrive to the house they discover it has been broken into and trashed so the agents investigate while Marie is driven away. We learn that the mastermind of the break-in was Todd’s uncle Jack who (with his crew) watch the DVD of Jesse’s confession. Todd notices the part where Jesse mentions the killing of that young boy.
Jack is clearly pissed and ready to go fuck Jesse up but Todd pleads with him that Jesse is still valuable for cooking more meth and getting even richer. Jack thinks continuing to cook is stupid since they already have a lot of money and Jack taunts Todd and says he must be in love with Lydia to still want to cook (Uncle is smart because Todd looks like the type who finds it highly difficult to get a girlfriend). Now we see Jesse back in his hole cradling that picture of Andrea and her son. He then takes a paperclip attached to the picture and uses it to try to free himself from his handcuffs.
Meanwhile at the vacuum shop, the man continues to try to make arrangements while Walt tells Saul that he needs a hit man contact to try to kill Jack and his men (Priorities all jacked up SMH). Saul tells Walt that the police are going to likely arrest Skyler and that any way Walt tries to send money or contact her will be intercepted. Saul tells Walt that he might as well give himself up and die in jail. Walt tells Saul that he is only concerned with making sure that Jack dies and his money is recovered and given to his kids. The man interrupts and tells Walt that he’s ready but Walt says that Saul needs to come with him. Saul gets scared when Walt begins to threaten him but a coughing spell derails the whole thing and Saul leaves.
Now Skyler is at the DEA with her lawyer and she tells them that she has no idea where Walt is. Later we see DEA agents parked outside of Skyler’s house while she looks on at them. Some masked men (Todd and his guys) confront Skyler. Todd asks her if she told the DEA anything about Lydia and when Skyler says she hasn’t, Todd makes her promise that she won’t say anything about her or tip off the police outside (This dude is whipped. Why in fuckmation…yes I created a new word, is he caping for that ho? Fool shouda at least got the panties first before engaging in this simpery). Todd and his men leave and Skyler breathes a sigh of relief.
The next morning Todd meets Lydia at a diner. Lydia tells Todd that she needs more than just a message sent and now she’s scared and wants to get out. Todd tells her that he has 50 pounds ready to go that is blue and 92% pure. That makes Lydia pause and reconsider (She started shaking so hard at that 92%. Didn’t even notice Todd was trying to spit game on her LMAO).
Walt arrives in New Hampshire alone and the man tells him that there’s really no phone, TV or internet. The man tells Walt that he needs to hide because the police are looking for him but there’s nothing stopping him from leaving and that he won’t come back if he finds out that Walt has left. After the man leaves Walt starts stuffing some money in a coat and in his bag he finds his trademark hat. Walt begins to leave but he starts coughing before he leaves the gate and has second thoughts (I know he does. Fool think he’s about to walk back to New Mexico and shit).
Back in the bunker Jesse has freed himself from the handcuffs and tries to leave. Jesse scrambles to put his cuffs back on when he hears a noise. Todd comes to pass him some ice cream and Jesse asks him not to cover the bunker again. After Todd leaves Jesse frees himself again to try to make his escape. After some struggling Jesse manages to get out but he can’t get over the fence before getting caught. Jesse tells the men that he would prefer for them to kill him rather than cook for them. Soon after Todd pays a visit to Andrea with Jesse in tow and when he has Andrea face the van, Todd shoots and kills Andrea while Jesse watches (Todd is a confusing one. Dude is so lame, preppy, soft and unassuming one minute and then the next he turns into this gangster with no soul).
Now we get back to Walt (and his hair is starting to grow back). The man brings Walt some newspapers, glasses, and tells him that Skyler still has the kids, works dispatching taxis and hasn’t gone to court yet. He also mentions that his house is now up for auction and fenced off because kids keep breaking into it. The man has also brought Walt an IV to medicate himself with. Walt tells the man that he thinks he is going to die soon and wants the man to get the money he has on him to Skyler. The man says he would hypothetically do it but no real arrangements are made.
Later when Walt tries to sleep, he realizes how emaciated he has become when his wedding ring no longer fits him. He takes notice of the Ensure boxes and stashes so some money in one of the boxes (Unrelated but Ensure is so nasty. They say you’re supposed to drink it to help gain weight but that crap makes you not want to eat anymore because it’s so gross). The next morning Walt Walks to try to mail one of his boxes. Meanwhile Walt Jr. receives a call at school from Walt. He tells Walt Jr. that he mailed his a package addressed to his friend that contains money for them. He tells Walt Jr. to try to intercept the package and not tell anyone about it. Walt Jr. goes off and tells him that he doesn’t want anything from him because he killed Hank before hanging up on him.
After that happens Walt makes another phone call. This time to the DEA but he leaves the phone hanging before he says anything other than his real name. Walt notices an interview on TV with Elliot and Gretchen Schwartz getting grilled about Walt. They maintain their innocence by saying that the Walter White they know is long gone and they know nothing of the Heisenberg persona he has created. Meanwhile some sheriff officers close in on the bar where Walt saw the story and the episode ends on the shot of Walt’s half-empty drink and a tip he left.
