Rock of Love 2 Recap Episode XI: Destiney Un-Fulfilled
Here is ‘Matic’s recap for Rock of Love 2: Episode XI.
We start the show, and we’re down to the final 3 girls, Ambre, Destiney, and Daisy. The girls return to the mansion from Vegas and realize that it’s quiet in the house, without all of the other girls (Wow…really?). Big John brings down the note telling the girls that they need to clean up and prepare for familiar guests.
Daisy and Destiney do not seem too happy about having to clean but they start cleaning up anyway (The house doesn’t seem that sloppy, maybe they need to give those FOL 3 girls some lessons about how to keep a clean house).
Now the guests arrive. First up is Ambre’s dad, Randy. Ambre describes her dad as a “down home conservative guy” and she is very excited to see him. Ambre and her dad share a very, very long hug; so long that neither has noticed that Bret is trying to address them.
Bret greets them and tells Ambre to show her dad the house.
Meanwhile, Daisy confesses that she has not seen her Dad since she was 17, and the last time she saw her mother, she was 20…it’s been a long time and she is not sure about who will come to meet Bret.
Next up, Destiney’s parents arrive. Bret describes Destiney’s dad as “hippieish”, but he likes the leopard bandana that he has tattooed across his head.
The last guest to arrive is Stephanie who is Charles’s (Daisy’s ex) older sister (What, no aunts, uncles or cousins?). Bret is extremely disturbed by the fact that no one from Daisy’s family shows up.
Next, Bret gathers all of the girls and the guests together to have a mixer and to get to know the girls a little better. All goes well until Bret offers Destiney’s dad a drink. Tommy (Destiney’s dad) declines, then reveals he is terminally ill with liver cancer and, his doctors advise he only has until March to live.
Bret is touched by this revelation and bonds further with Tommy when Destiney’s dad reveals that he too, has a love for motorcycles. Bret then takes all of the parents and Stephanie outside to help him barbecue.
Outside, Bret talks to Randy about raising Ambre and his other children. Randy then tells Bret that Ambre is 37 years old (37? Are you serious? Nah I take that back because she didn’t look 31 to me anyway).
Bret is shocked and a little upset that Ambre lied to him about her age and wonders what else she could be hiding from him. At dinner, Ambre is quite embarrassed that Destiney is talking to Bret about her love of breasts. Ambre wonders if her dad is appalled by Destiney’s behavior (Look at his face, that’s definitely a breast man).
After dinner, Bret feels the need to let the parents and Stephanie know what the girls would be getting into if he chooses them. Bret presents a video of a Poison concert in St. Louis last year. The content of the video is nothing special (That’s false advertising. It said raw and uncut; where’s the raw and uncut part?) but, Destiney began to dance, scream and act as if she was at a real concert.
Ambre is again embarrassed by this new display of attention from Destiney and Bret begins to wonder if Destiney is only interested in his fame, and not his personality (This probably isn’t turning him on).
After the video, Bret announces that he will take each girl and her family members/guest on individual dates. He announces that Daisy will get the first date, immediately, and that Ambre and Destiney will go on their dates the following day.
Bret takes Daisy and Stephanie to Rainbow, which Daisy describes as the best place that anybody who is into Rock and Roll music, can go to. Immediately, Bret begins to interrogate Stephanie about Daisy’s relationship with Charles. Daisy says that there isn’t a romantic connection there because “somebody cheated.”
Stephanie cuts in to say that they both cheated. Daisy immediately protests that only Charles cheated and then goes into this long explanation that leaves Bret (and everyone who was even watching) more confused than ever.
Back at the house, Randy and Ambre have a conversation with Destiney. Randy asks Destiney what she would do if Bret were to choose her in the end. Destiney answers that she would continue to do TV and music videos and try to expand her career.
Randy then asks her what she would do 6 months after the show is over; to which Destiney replies, “I don’t know.” This upsets Ambre who now believes that Destiney is there for her career and not for Bret.
Back at the date, Daisy and Stephanie continue to try to assure Bret, that there is nothing is going on between Daisy and Charles. Bret is skeptical and believes that Stephanie is “a good liar” because he’s starting to believe her.
The next day, Bret informs the girls that Destiney and Ambre will go on dates and that one girl will go home at the Elimination Ceremony that night. Destiney gets to go on the first date.
While Destiney and her parents are waiting for Bret, Destiney’s parents talk about motorcycles and how Tommy had to give up is favorite motorcycle in order to prepare for fatherhood. Tommy also expresses the fact that he is surprised that Destiney wanted to do the show. Bret then comes down the hallway riding a motorcycle and tells everyone that their date will involve riding motorcycles to a very special place.
Tommy is elated at the fact that he will get to ride a motorcycle again. Bret, Destiney, and her parents then ride motorcycles to a tattoo parlor. Bret says that he decided to go to a tattoo parlor because Destiney has expressed the fact that she always wanted to get a tattoo. Destiney decides that she wants to get the Rock of Love 2 logo (A heart with 2 swords through the middle) on the back of her neck.
Destiney begins to seriously have reservations (Don’t do it! He’s not gonna pick you if you do) while Bret tries to convince her to do it. In the confessional, Bret says that unlike Heather, who knew that she was going to get the tattoo, Destiney was more unsure about getting the tattoo done. Destiney finally decides to get the tattoo done and is pleased with how it came out.
Everyone goes back to the mansion and Ambre can’t believe that Destiney would go and get a tattoo on the back of her neck. (Is it me or is Ambre really acting like she’s 37 on this episode?)
Now Bret is ready to take Ambre and her dad on a date. Bret takes then to a sushi bar and Ambre isn’t so sure that her dad will like sushi. After Randy finally gets used to using chopsticks and the taste of uncooked fish, Bret addresses Ambre with the fact that she was untruthful about her age.
Ambre can’t believe that she lied to Bret about her age (That’s because it’s a practiced lie. She’s been doing it so long that she doesn’t have to think about it anymore). Ambre admits that she’s 37 and explains to Bret that her career requires her to stay young (actresses SMH) and that she is sorry for having misled him in any way.
She also admits to Bret that she is falling in love with him (The falling in love card works almost every time). In the confessional Ambre feels bad about lying to Bret and she hopes that lying about her age doesn’t jeopardize future career moves for her (WTF?)
After the date is over and they return to the mansion… Bret tells the girls to say their goodbyes and prepare for elimination. Ambre and Destiney are very upset about having to say goodbye and both are worried about possibly getting eliminated.
Randy’s final thought about the experience is that Bret is a “good guy”. Stephanie hopes that Bret believes that all of Bret’s concerns about Daisy and Charles are settled and Tommy expresses the fact that he likes Bret and that he would love to welcome him into his family.
While the girls are waiting, nervously, for elimination, Ambre confronts Destiney about her feelings for Bret. Destiney says that she is not 100% into Bret and it would be silly for anyone to be in love with Bret at this point. She then asks Ambre and Daisy if they are in love with Bret and both admit that they are.
Daisy makes the point that it would be unfair if she got eliminated knowing that the one Bret keeps doesn’t have strong feelings for him like she does. Daisy then asks Destiney if she would still be on the show if Jon Bon Jovi or John Stamos were starring (John Stamos??? John Stamos??? Who wants to be with John Stamos?). Destiney is ambivalent with the question and only says that she can’t give an answer.
Elimination Ceremony
At elimination Bret confesses that he still does not know who to send home and he does not bring any ‘passes’ with him. Bret addresses each girl with pros and cons about all of them.
Bret says that Ambre is driven, ambitious, smart and funny but he fears that Ambre would only use those qualities to create a professional relationship with him.
Bret tells Destiney that she is fun, wild, energetic and has a great and wise father who has inspired him, but, he feels that she is going through a transitional period in her life and he feels that maybe this would be the wrong time for him to find love with her.
Bret addresses Daisy by saying that he has a strong physical connection with her; he likes her singing (That national anthem she sang sucked. I hope he has heard her sing something else) but he says that she has a garage full of skeletons and that he is not comfortable with all of her issues, yet.
Bret asks Daisy if she has anything that she wants to tell him. Daisy goes on to say that she feels that Destiney is not in love with him and that she couldn’t tell her and Ambre if she would be on the show trying to pursue someone else.
Destiney defends herself by saying that she is there for Bret and that she tried out for the first season of the show. Destiney tells Bret that she is not in love with him but she cares about him and that she will do whatever it takes to stay.
Bret calls Destiney down to him and explains that he has two girls that are in love with him, and one girl who is in love with the experience. He tells Destiney that he is not in love with her and that it would be best if she went home.
In the confessional Bret explains that he sent Destiney home because she has a few years left to party and that she needs to spend time with her father.
Bret is upset about having to send Destiney home but he tells the two remaining girls that they need to pack because they are going to Cancun, Mexico. Daisy and Ambre are elated and more determined than ever to be the last one standing.
At the end of the show we learn that Destiney’s father passed away a few weeks ago (R.I.P.)

so steupz.. i guess the article was not about daisy.. im glad then.. ill catch you later on the blog
or maybe it was and she didnt want to talk about it.. what do you think?
good recap EA
Great job ‘Matic…it probably takes about three Recaps to get your style oiled. I’d say you’ll do it in 2 1/2.
Loved Amber’s come-and-go accent when talking to her father. She gets faker w/each episode.
And very clever of her to want to “get some things off of her chest” (read: throw Destiney under the bus) to save her lying, old self. I guess with age comes experience…
I did like Bret’s kodachrome comment, however. That was really, really funny.
Are you saying she lied again?
Nawww,
weI got it wrong, lol.Oh, smart logic, Babykin.
(the look down thing)
I could be wrong. Just a guess.

It’ll take a lot more than that to blow my mind. You underestimate me. As usual…
Is that a money back guarantee? Because it didn’t install.
