Miss Rap Supreme Episode 5 Recap
Been so long you probably forgot Lady Twist was eliminated on Episode 4.
Indeed she was; and Chiba remained to deal with the haters. Particularly Byata, who’s pissed that “somebody like that gets to stay here when she doesn’t deserve it.”
“She’s not a real person to me”, she adds.
But she was real enough to tongue kiss a few hours into the Fembassy, and Chiba says Byata also told her Nicky2States name is messed up and Rece needs liposuction. (a C-section might be better for that gut)
Byata is stunned and accuses Chiba of lying; but I know better. Still, it’s ruthless that Chiba would expose Rece to ridicule and embarrassment.
An unrepentant Chiba declares they are gonna have to deal with her “cause I’m still here!” (where have I heard that before? FOL2?)
As Bree calls her mom; Miss Cherry notes Chiba must be blind to not see what she’s doing (she does have that bad eye); but prefers to stay away from the drama.
Any drama there was, ceases, as Serch and YoYo arrive and announce two Captains; Byata and Miss Cherry. The Captains select blindly and the teams are Byata, Rece and Nicky2States vs Miss Cherry, Bree and Chiba.
The challenge however, is less straightforward… the ladies are to shoot a music video and are given props, two sets of each; one less appealing than the other.
They are given two hours to write and film.
The props are boats, men, nautical accoutrement, make-up and a professional stylist.
The coveted item was a yacht, and Byata’s team nabbed that.
To prep them for the making of the video, a special celebrity guest is invited and it turns out to be Soulja Boy (triple SMH)
He brought an entourage too… (a dufus who must play with his Wii-Wii on cold nights)
I can’t hate though; he did have that #1 Billboard single; and the Travis Barker remix is nasty
Truth be told, the little Soulja boy said was quite intelligent. But he departed after what seemed like 15 minutes with the ladies.
It was now time to shoot a music video.
With the bars written and the track selected; the ladies set about recording in the booth; and we learn Bree went to school for audio engineering. Which means she shares that, and being boring as fuck, with Mr Wise (I Love New York)
Miss Cherry’s team recorded first and all goes well until Cherry -who can sing too- refused to record a part of the track in a higher octave.
Byata’s team progressed smoothly as well; until the time came to record Nicky’s verse. She was loud and grating; and a little bit arrogant… but the track was recorded.
The videos and results
Team Cherry’s video was directed by Joe; and Bree did a lot with regard to the concept that revolved
around a Mafia ‘gangsta chick’, Bree; her girlfriend Chiba; and an heiress, Miss Cherry.
Meanwhile, on the yacht, Brett was directing Team Byata. Turns out shooting a video on a boat isn’t that easy; because it’s on water and stuff… but they got through it, despite Nicky’s ‘overexcitedness’; and now it was time to view both videos with Serch and YoYo.
Team Cherry’s video was titled ‘Paper Chase’ and was brilliantly done. Cherry was outstanding. YoYo said she loved the plot; but there wasn’t enough of Bree.
Team Byata’s video, ‘Boss Chicks’, was campy; and Serch said there was no gel to the story. but, inexplicably; Team Byata won the challenge.
Fuckry is afoot; cause there was no way Byata won the challenge.
In fact, it was so obvious Nicky2States was moved to give up the keys to the Salt & Pepa suite to Miss Cherry; and told her “y’all deserved it” (that was pure class)
But, Miss Cherry refused (you can have only so much class on this show).
In the suite, Team Byata was greeted by paparazzi, fans; and John Brown (White Rapper) ; I think.
The fun was broken up by the elimination clue and Chiba, Bree and Miss Cherry began preparing for tomorrow.
Eliminations
Last week these very three ladies were up for Elimination and this week they were battling again. The weapons were 16 bars on the ‘Glamorous Life’.
Cherry was first and as usual, blazed her bars on everything but the topic.
Chiba was stylish; but used ‘glamor’ as the backdrop for her verse.
Bree was on the mark, as she always is; but flubbed her lines.
During deliberations, Serch and YoYo were very impressed with Chiba; and said as much during the results phase.
YoYo called her a “superstar” , whilst Serch described her lines as “the first great performance”… she was declared safe.
It was now down to Cherry and Bree.
Serch warned Cherry, “when you get an assignment don’t throw your own shit to me”.
And YoYo took on Bree, “you lost your focus”.
As the ladies hug each other Serch tells Bree to step-off. As she leaves, a tearing Bree is consoled by Miss Cherry.
Whew, so that’s it, thanks for reading and sorry for the late recap.
I am not alone though, VH1 are yet to recap as well; and that means I have no pics to steal…Bastards!!!
