Flavor Flav branching out from music to TV Flavor Flav is just as recognizable for his contributions to pop vernacular as he is for the clock around his neck and the gold teeth adorning his mouth. For the past 20-plus years, Flav has been a key component of the revolutionary hip-hop group, Public Enemy, responsible for changing the genre and pointing out social and political ills to those who would listen.
With an impressive musical resume, Flav is just as interested in making his mark on TV, starring in shows like VH1’s “Flavor of Love” and the Fox’s sitcom, “Under One Roof.”
Being on television has been a goal for quite a while, according to the charismatic rapper.
“Yo, my main thing was to just pursue the television career,” said Flav during a recent interview with the Tribune from Philadelphia. “I always wanted to be big in television, but I didn’t really expect it to go to this level and to go this far with it.”
