The seem to be spending some money on this… the wardrobe, the sets, three promos, etc. They could’ve easily just shown clips from the upcoming season, which they’ll likely do in addition. Seems like VH1 is kinda banking on this half hour. New York is apparently worth it.
I know this is mad off topic, but I have to say I knew it Heather, is talking about her own show. Vh1 aint confirming shit but you know how that goes, they will especially considering they are pretty much left with nothing good coming on for this winter.
When it comes to New York goes to Hollywood, Vh1 is banking on this show more than anything right now. All they have is this and I love Money. I do not think I am going to watch that show, I saw that previews and reminds me of the Guantlet that Mtv has for the Real World and Road Rules shows. Hell, I probably wont even watch the New York show. The fact that it is a half hour shows that there is not too much going on they want to stretch it out. The only thing that I am hearing about for Fall is the Rock of Love Charm School. I think that this New York show is only being done in order to hold off showing Rock of Love Charm School. They got to strech out what they have. Vh1 has lost their big rating shows: ROL (at least for now, FOL, and ILNY.
I’m not sure that a 1-to-3 member cast can carry more than one-half hour. VH1 seems to be sticking to that formula, if you consider the number of half hour shows that have aired to date with no more than 5 main cast members, e.g. The Baio show, The Brady show, The Bonaduce show, etc. Those cats have more juice, money and pull in the industry than New York, and they went with only 30 minutes — and, they had producer credits on the first season.
Based on historical information, they seem to be dong the right thing by sticking with the 30 minute formula to avoid burning out viewers out on one person stretched over 60 minutes. To command a one-hour slot for basically one cast member would imply they are an A-lister, which (a) New York is not. And (b), not even Beyonce, Spears, or Miley Cyrus could carry 60 minutes with the short attention span of VH1 viewers over 10 - 12 weeks; if that were the case then they would have done that by now over a few seasons. Yet on the other hand, they are banking that after 30 minutes, you’ll be feeling as if it is not enough so that you’ll tune in for the next episode. We’ll see. I could be wrong.
I watched the Forrest Gump promo and I really did not think it was funny. Kinda stupid to me.
Anyway, I will watch a couple of episodes just to get a feel on NY’s new show and if the rest of the characters she portrays are just as unfunny as the Forrest Gump one, then I will definitely be watching something else.
this promo is a Straight insult to the Wizard of Oz!
Lmfao….
Funny, but I still hate the outfits and make-up.

Good observation, mate; ’cause Matic and I have been thinking the opposite.

Nah that’s on topic…we posted it in a comment box somewhere else, too.
I don’t believe her, though, ’cause I hate her… and that’s all the reason I need.

Yes, I will definitely watch this one. If I watched the other stuff, I might as well support this one too.
