New York Times reviews ‘I Love Money’

I Love Money Cast on the Premiere.jpg

One day the New York Times will realise a review of a VH1 show is praise in itself.

So whilst they liberally google the Premiere episode for the best of the worst… as in Heat blaming a botched surgery on his mother that “literally got (her) some kind of disformation.”

Or Toasteee mocking Nibblz, “I hope to God she’s out of the show faster than she can mispronounce Mithithippi.”
It all adds up to publicity.

  1. Well they think the show is gonna be fake and I agree. Just watching the first episode was so stupid and boring. I just think the rest of the season will be like that too and I really hope it isn’t.

  2. But a fake reality show is not even an oxymoron anymore.

  3. I know but if the show is gonna be fake then make it memorable and entertaining.

  4. Or… one day the NYTimes will realize that each time it reviews these types of shows it will bring the newspaper one step closer to a rag like TMZ, though Harvey is raking in his millions and I ain’t playah hatin’.

  5. Wasn’t that dude like a reporter on a judge-show or something.
I heard something like that on Geraldo.

What god is he praying to… cause TMZ is massive

  6. Well, true, he’s been a reporter on “The People’s Court” for umpteen years, maybe almost twenty. But, in actuality, he has served as the “expert legal reporter” as he is an attorney. But, one more important fact, he has been the producer of the show for sometime now, if not for its entire run. That’s where some of his bank comes from. His pull comes from being in NYC. He is likely praying to the god of greed and hardwork, and I do hope that god shines on you, my friend. Patience and persistence, no? Since he is a savvy lawyer and owner of TMZ, and likely the editor — meaning that nothing gets past him before it prints — it will not be easy to sue TMZ. He’s rolling dough like Betty Crocker fah sho.

  7. Bourgy needs a camera and a mic.

  8. Oh, and the court show has been syndicated much of that time to this day all over the US at least such that his pull is likely to be substantial helping TMZ to come out of nowhere. Whatever. I’m babbling.

  9. NYTimes is already a rag

  10. LOL. Dude, you hate on damn near e’rythang. I dig that.

  11. why should i watch this show steups

  12. i tell you what i will not watch this show because i’m not interest in These FOL ROL ILNY spinoffs show anymore i just wait until steups do the recaps to see what going on

  13. Well, I gotta keep it consistant…or is it consistent? I thought I was not going ot watch it, but since they decided to run it when nothing else is on, I will give it a shot.

  14. Looks like the show may be fun.

  15. First thing is first, NYT has lost respect from me. They are a well respected paper and to put an ILM review under the arts section is a disrespect to the true artist out there. The should have put it under other news. I think that this show is going to be so corny. I think this whole summer is going to suck for Vh1. These people are dried up, they all know each other before this show and all they are going to do is bring their ’strip club drama’ onto tv. The only thing new that is going to happen this time is that instead of fighting for one person’s love, they are going to be backstabbing a sleeping around with each other. This is the first show that has the guys and girls together. ( You see the ILNY guys all trying to get with Hoopz. None of them wanted NY, they really wanted Hoopz but got NY.) We will se how it goes.

  16. TO be fair to the NY Times, they are reviewing what people are watching/pop culture phenomenons. It is good for them to lose their snoby roots and review this show.

I am in the middle of watching the Where are they now.

    1. Whiteboy has said more now than during the entire season of ILNY. (PS, Tango would have destroyed you).
    2. Does Pugkin work? Seeing her and Toastee (who) kiss, made me vomit a little
    3. NY was right, Frank the entertainer is a loser.

  17. VH1 just needs some fresh meat. Was anyone really crazy about seeing Heat, 12 Pack, Meghan, Heather (…yet again zzzzz…), Pumkin (so sick of her!), Brandi C, Toastee, and anyone else on that show? Get some new people to do your reality shows, VH1!

And one reason why FOL3 and ROL2 bombed was because everyone was tired of Flavor Flav and Bret Michaels and knew they were fake as hell, too. The reasons why they got dumped by the women they chose was so whack, too, and obviously made up.

Why not get someone attractive and new (and interesting) to do a love show? At least then you may be partially fooled into thinking the show is actually real. At least for a moment.

I’m so sick of these hos and watching I Love Money is going to be torture.

  18. You’re spot on, mate.
The show is still good; it’s the main character that’s the problem.
Two seasons is good; although I wouldn’t be opposed to three if the two were as brilliant as FOL 1 and 2.

But we need that Andre guy on ROL and maybe Chance or Talior Made on FOL

  19. Imagine that. TM with his own dating show….sounds like a plan. Someone email Vh1 with that one.

    (Hey Steupz!!)

  20. Hey Keisha.
    What’s up this Sunday?

  21. Hungry right now.lol I think I better start preparing dinner soon. How are you doing? Are you excited about “I Love Money” like me?

  22. Not really, Keisha.
I’m just in it to see Whiteboy and Chance humiliated.

I think in simple terms, lol.

  23. Wow Steupz. You never seem to amaze me.lol

  24. Oh and what’s the problem with Whiteboy? I liked him on ILNY. Chance, on the other hand, is annoying. He just talks entirely too damn much.:)

  25. I hope that was an error and you meant ‘always’, lol.
    Although ‘never’ is mad funny.

    I hate him, period.
He did absolutely nothing on ILNY, yet he made it to the end, almost.

  26. But didn’t Mr. Wise do the same on ILNY 2?lol And, I was being sarcastic when I say “never”. You’re too much fun.

  27. Lol..

    I hate Mr Wise, too.
Whiteboy interacted a whole lot more than Wise.

  28. You are brutal Steupz! Just brutal.

  29. I think the difference is Wise seemed to be a good guy off-camera whilst Whiteboy seems to be an asshole, regardless.

  30. I read on DBSlayers that Mr. Wise was arrested for clocking someone upside their head for smart mouthing him in a club. Can someone say “anger management”? (Angry rappers) Heyyy Kanye West went.lol

  31. yeah we wrote about that first, actually.
And I have been tryna get a statement from licious ever since; but it’s been one excuse after another.

First she said it was issued on his website; but I couldn’t find it, and Google couldn’t either.
Then she said she’d have her assistant send it to me, but that never happened.

Then today the assistant emailed me and said they would no longer be discussing the arrest cause so much time had passed or whateva…only to email me a few minutes later to say Licious said it was cool to give it to me and it was attached to the email.
But, it wasn’t attached to the email.

So now I think what I originally thought… that Licious and Owl Wise Management are on some bullshit.

So it’s like whateva. I went through the channels and didn’t get what I wanted, so now I’mma hunt down the info from other sources.

And try not to mention that site too much, ’cause trust me, they would erase my site’s name over there with the quickness.
    Laterz.

  32. Yeah, we know. Bourgy reported the Mr. Wise arrest
    a while ago.

  33. Oh, sorry, Steupz. Looks like you got it covered.

  34. I’m headed out for a few hours.
But, when ‘Matic gets back, I’mma talk to myholmes and see if we can agree on extending an olive branch to them.

I’m sure they will pretend that there is nothing to pacify and whatnot cause they diet on bullshit. But I’mma try to make the effort to sort it out.
    Laterz, y’all.

    Keep safe.

  35. Yeah, thanks CL.
    Cheers.

  36. can anybody tell me why whiteboy is talking excessively and running his mouth like he never has before. he said more on the first episode than he said on the entire ILNY season……………DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  37. Ok Steupz. Sorry. I won’t mention that site again. My bad.
