New York is back but who’s watching?
So yesterday saw the Premieres of ‘Luke’s Parental Advisory’, ‘New York Goes to Hollywood’ and ‘I Want To Work For Diddy’, and it was a colossal flop.
On LPA, Luther Campbell speaks like a retired boxer and on the rare occasion his speech had power to it, he says his wife is a ‘lawyer’ as if that’s suppose to mean something. (Uh?)
Isn’t it confusing enough that a show on parenting is constructed around a weekend Daddy?
And don’t even get me started on the scripted drama that featured Luke’s son reading a Playboy and dating a 15yr old single mother.
That’s just pathetic.
Can’t they have found a better way to highlight the oppositeness of his family and business lives?
This show is in urgent need of a lapdance cause it’s limp.
On ‘I Want To Work For Diddy’, Sean Combs shamelessly steals from ‘The Apprentice’.
What’s new about this?
All these shows do is perpetuate the belief that the black version of everything is always lowbrow.
On ‘The Apprentice’, applicants are MBA graduates with their own successful businesses. On ‘I Want To Work For Diddy’, they aren’t…

If they are really serious about hiring someone to be Diddy’s slave and plaything, they should dump the panel and let Kim Porter choose… she has more experience than anyone else.
‘New York Goes To Hollywood’ was pretty decent and was by far the best of the new shows, but it was less than we expected.
The half-hour flew by, but that’s what half-hours do; and the only interesting things about the show was New York’s body (she needs to keep it like that) and her assistant Lizza.
I’ll watch it again, but it’s pretty sad when you’re looking forward to seeing Tailor Made appear on a show…SMH

NY goes hollywood was deff. the best show. Didddy’s was VERY much like the Apprentice, and it felt really fake for me.
It was too fake, and I am tired of seing idiots like Poprah saved ’cause they believe she is good for TV.
She should have been booted.
Luke is crazy. How is he going to put down a young girl with a child when his music and more like is part of the problem?
I liked Diddy’s show personally. I liked several of the applicants. i even watched the extras.

Luke Parental’s Advisory was bland. Since I didn’t know who he is I have to watch it again, maybe three times to get a feel for it.
New Goes To Hollywood…..I have said enough about this show. Won’t be watching it again after Tailor Made appears.

My reasons…..I thought he was such a wimp on ILNY2 and I lost all respect for him because he let her walk all over him. On the previews it seems like he is finally standing up to her and I want to see how it plays out, even though it’s scripted.
I liked Who Wants To Work For Diddy. I want to see how how much degrading these people will take and Diddy won’t be playing a major role until the series is almost over, so that works for me.
I definitely wouldn’t work for him. Ain’t enough money in the world.

Yet #1, the posting of Brina’s vids can be perceived as an implicit endorsement. #2, such implicit endorsements could be perceived as either overshadowing the neutralizing effect of your expurgation of Brina’s explicit comments about Rev or as a straight-up endorsement of Brina. There are, of course, the possibilities that Rev may or may not be aware of either Brina’s “extra” comments, the fact that you edited them, and that you referred to her as a god around here.
I trust she’ll set the record straight. Even if she doesn’t, I would hope that she comes back. In the meantime, Rev’s got an excellent moral compass so, I’m gonna side with her! You arse!
