So-so ratings for New York and Diddy

VH1’s I Want to Work for Diddy brought in 1.4 million viewers for its series premiere Monday. The series opener of New York Goes to Hollywood, the latest outing for I Love New York’s title character, built on that number, drawing 1.7 million in the following time slot.
Well, it’s not fantastic numbers, and a long way away from the 3 and 4 million viewers she pulled weekly on I Love New York, but Tiffany Pollard is still worth her breast weight in gold.
1.7 million viewers is actually pretty decent given the decline in viewership at VH1 brought on by viewer fatigue no doubt.
Not everyone can tolerate these shows and characters in their 6th and 7th incarnation.
I only watched ILNY for the contestants, and because it was part of the “of love” series. Regular reality shows that follow daily life are just… boring.
I’m in sync with you Nat€… only because it’s New York, this show is interesting.
This show is probably making her an even bigger star despite the lower ratings cause she is single-handedly carrying this one.

The show is getting low ratings because NY is not believeable unless she is cussing someone out and causing all types of drama. Believe it or not some people are getting tired of seeing that same old worn out over-the-top, hooker looking, looney bin act.
She’s scripted dumber than dirt, her attitude stinks big-time and the whole premise of the show is a piece of garbage. NY becoming a serious actress….yea right.
As soon as I see the “fake break-up” I am done with this ridiculous show. Hell, VH1 should be paying US just to watch this crap.
You made some vaild points. Being in the cable business is hard, once your audience goes to another network, you might not be able to get them back. If you produce a flop, you can also lose an audience. Alot of people lost feeling for Vh1 after Flav proposed to Liz (I think that is her name). For the last couple of seasons you could depend on Vh1 having some form of I Love__ show. It is these I Love__ shows that got people to start watch Vh1 in the first place. Vh1 used to show alot of videos and was created to be geared towards 25-34 age bracket. If you watch their videos, they play alot of up beat music, you are not going to see Rick Ross or Young Jeezy on their talking about moving weight. Vh1 just started getting ratings with Flavor of Love. Now they are trying to keep that streak going but they are not making wise business decisions. I have even stop watch Vh1 myself. Not because of the engagement, I could care less. They did not show any promos that peaked my interested. They did not have anything planned for after FOL 3. They have CS2 but that is not coming on until after ILM and NYG2H are finished. Vh1 might want to scrap together a quick show and have in filmed and aired a week apart because they are not doing well right now.
As to the comment about New York being over the top, I do not think that is who she is. Whenever she does an interview she is very calm, I think she just does that for Vh1. The FOL girls who say they dont like her dont realize that she is playing the game. If they did it right they could be as sucessful as she is. I know Heather has been paying attention…watch and see.
New York’s whole dramatic attitude was what made watching her so interesting to me. You never know what to expect. The thought if her being scripted just disappoints me from the second i heard that. It gets rid of an important factor of her appeal. LOL just like when Heather stopped wearing the crazy 80s hair.
Eventually I’ll catch New York’s new show when they play a mini-marathon. I expect from comments that it might not be a total waste of time.

I think that Flav just ruined the love shows for everybody. Vh1 needs to smack him for that. He basically said he just did FOL3 for money and new before the show ever even starting casting that he only had eyes for his baby’s momma. What number is Liz? Baby momma #8? It pisses me off in the first place to know this bum wants 10 kids and does not support even one. Money makes the world go around and it raises children. It at least buys them f-ing diapers and new shoes. What a worthless jerk and I’m sick of seeing him. I think most people are and if it’s like Flav says, if vh1 is planning on doing a show on his wedding preparations I’m gonna be super ticked off and refuse to watch one episode.
My point is, Flav and Bret Michaels ruined vh1 love shows. And Bret has a 3rd season coming up! I have no intention of watching that fake garbage either. The thing is, at least with New York…it IS sorta believable she is looking for love. Or maybe not for love when the show begins but I think she is very open to the money AND potentially love in the process.
I just think they need someone new to look for love. I think Chance is a good candidate or Real for a love show. I think they are more genuine than NY, Flav, and Bret..and plus someone new doing it would be much better for ratings as opposed to the clowns we’re tired of seeing looking for love..*cough* money.
Bret and Flav ruined the love shows? they ARE the love shows…lol. New York had a spin off because of FoL, mind you. I agree, we need a new bachelor/ette, preferably one who is actually interested in trying to find love. My vote goes to Heather, since as far as I know, she doesn’t have much of a career outside of these shows to be her ulterior motive. Chance has the Stallionaires, plus he’s a douche.

Yes, NY is calm when she is doing an interview. Can you see anyone wanting to interview her if they knew she was going to act like she does on her show. She ain’t that dumb.

I don’t know who ruined what, but I have really lost interest in those VH1 “love” shows also, therefore I will not be watching ROL3. I mean we all know how it is going to start and end.
Stupid homies; these shows and their “stars” (including the PIMP himself Diddy) are simply scabs on the sore of the pathetic black culture. Diddy’s stupid show glamorizes and promotes materialism among his ghetto inner-city youth who can’t afford the shoe laces for the shoes he sells and “Miss New York” only epitomizes the stereotypical foul-mouthed, angry, and phony black woman.
Well, my ratings predictions were way off. Yet, it is a statement that her ratings are slightly better than Diddy’s show.
Tiffany isn’t worth anything! Unless you like seeing a spoiled rich girl, acting like a thug. And a mother that is “Suppose” to be a Christian, going out of her way to hurt others with rude comments and swear words! The entire show is completely FAKE! Anyone can see that! This is why the ratings are going down! Tiffany, who was raised in a nice part of New York, who never even saw a Ghetto in her life, is just a FAKE-POSER! She acts hard, then speaks perfect English! Just like a Spoiled White Girl Will!! Her 15 minutes of fame is over with! Unless you like seeing a Rich-Poser acting like a Black Stereotype! What a worthless person and a horrible show!
New York is good at what she does tv..I wish people would realize that. Although all these people can’t stand her they still tune in and watch her show..so she must be doing somthing right..
As far as the ratings go..I am not surprised that they are low because that just wasn’t a good show topic at all..People are so miserable they don’t want to see you chasing a dream..they want drama and chaos..and she didn’t have enough on this show..
The Diddy show could have been better also..
