VH1 is MTV’s bitch?
We knew there would be no ‘I Love Money’ this week, so that’s no surprise. But we didn’t expect a two-hour commercial for the MTV Network’s Video Music Awards.
News-flash!!!! MTV doesn’t play videos!
So why the heck should we care about their awards show?
This is fuckry on a 9/11 level… now I have to read a book or something. Is that fair?
Seriously, unless the goal was to piss people off then VH1 made an epic fail at trying to hype up the VMA’s. Damn they coulda did reruns or something. That’s just bullshit and colorful, headache inducing bullshit at that.
They coulda put that shit at the bottom and run something.
If you are watching VH1 and seeing that…chances are you don’t give a rat’s ass about MTV’s VMA’s.

I guess they were trying to FORCE people to watch the VMA’s. No thanks. That just goes to show how stupid the people are behind the two channels. When you turn to VH1 and see a blank TV screen that says “Why aren’t you watching the VMA’s?” it’s really pathetic. I’m very turned off from both VH1 and MTV at this point.

I wouldn’t have minded it as much if the VMA’s were actually GOOD. Seems like it’s been getting worse and worse every year. The host is an unknown/unfunny joke. It’s set in Hollywood and frankly, as far as VMA’s are concerned, NY>Hollywood, and the audience is too small now. It just seems like a special episode of TRL, FAR from VMA’s.

I agree that it’s insane that VH1 would just submit to being MTV’s bitch during the lame VMA’s. I also agree that at the very least they could have shown some re-runs. Some of us are older than 13 and couldn’t give a damn about taking the VMA’s seriously. Hell my gf and I tuned in to it a lil’ just to laugh at it and how insanely contrived it was. MTV might as well call themselves Nickelodeon 2 considering the demographic they’ve been chasing lately.
The VMA’s are like what two hours? Two hours of watching performers you might not want to watch just to see who wins awards? The host was ok, but the VMA’s get worse each year in my opinion. Spears winning was surprising to me but I’m happy for her. These pictures are funny, The Dark Knight ones.

The worse part is that it took place in some studio rather than in an arena. The audience was so ridiculously small compared to how big the audience is in NY.
I know I am in the minority here, but I thought the host was funny, I liked the way he slide in stabs at folks LOL like when he said something about the girl what brought on the Jonas brothers (where the heck did they come from, and why do girls think they are cute? guys were so much cuter in my teeny bopper days!LOL) anyways he said something about she is bringing them on but it will be awhile before she can get the off, LMAO!!!
