And after watching this recap, I need to know something…
1) Where’s Ice, what has she done on this show? Even Cali is getting air-time.
2) Am I alone in thinking I Love Money is turning into the Real World/Road Rules Challenge?
nah i dont think RW/RR and I love Money are the same. RW/RR usually has like 4 winners and this show only has one winner.

I don’t think ILM2 is turning into the RW/RR challenge. The format is absolutely different and so are the personalities.

i think they should just make next season one of the RW/RR challenges where they have individuals for the whole season. This would help eliminate the whole “throwing challenges”
I think the Old Alliance single-handedly messed up the team challenges.
VH1 definitely has to do something about penalizing challenge-throwers
My advice would be some sort of way to make it so the thrower has a real chance of being eliminated by the paymaster.
I recommend giving the losing team a thrower’s-card they can use only once.
All they have to do is prove to Craig that one of the bottom 3 threw the challenge and that team will be able to remove the paymaster and nominate someone of their choosing.
So the Gold Team would be able to say remove Frenchie for Myammee.
Maybe they should alternate between team and individual challenges. You know like when there is an even number of contestants until like the final 6 they have team challenges where the same rules apply (winning captain becomes paymaster).
However after that elimination is done and they are stuck with an odd number of contestants they should do individual challenges (where the winner of the challenge is paymaster).
Then after that elimination is over, the paymaster and the person who received the last check become new team captains to pick their teams again. Of course after the teams are picked the teams would have to vote on new captains for the challenge but that should cut down on the “I’m throwing the next challenge” bullshit because you never know how people will fare in the individual challenges.
Yeah but who selects the Bottom 3?
Is there one at all, or the person who places last in the challenge is auto-voided
Just like in the individual challenges, all the losers go in the vault and select the bottom 3. If you have 11 people in a vault, it’s going to be hard as hell for one alliance of say 3-4 people to convince 3 more people to vote against someone else. That could ultimately put more power in the paymaster’s hands because that stalemate might run out the 15 minutes so the paymaster can come in and select the bottom 3. I don’t like the idea of the dead last loser getting eliminated but they can be automatically placed in the bottom 3.
I don’t think it would be that hard for an alliance to absorb the floaters because those floaters already side with one alliance without it being official
The one thing that all floaters have in common is that they are and will be ambivalent. For the sake of argument they may align with one side but if the other side comes up with a good argument then they are more likely to go consider aligning with the other side.

I think they should have individual challenges from the start, have the winner be the paymaster, the last 2 places go automatically in the box, and then they decide the last one in the vault.
I think it would be absolute chaos to pick only one person to go in the box, which means drama.
The thing about individual challenges is you’d have to tailor them to not have women at a disadvantage.

I can see where individual challenges can stop throwing.
I can see where alternating makes it more exciting.
But I still don’t see how we can stop throwing when there are ‘Team Challenges’ without adding some sort of twist.
Maybe the twist could be that instead of the paymaster and the last person to get their check selects the new teams, maybe the eliminated person should select both teams so that they make sure that their alliance is one one team and that the person they really want out is on the other team. It would be bad if the main alliance were to lose but they definitely wouldn’t try to throw thee challenge knowing all their rivals are on the other team. However you could have some dummies who would not think things through and you would have someone put their whole allaince and the rival on the same team so they could get the rival out but obviously that would still be bad for them if the rival’s whole alliance is on the other team.

steupz, i think women is the only bad thing of having individual challenges. I know that the Duel has individual challenges, but I think they have separate gender challenges. But i think that would lose viewers interest if they alternated each episode
Yeah, I don’t know if women can hang on ILM2 because indi-challenges might make the show more physical than strategic.
But MTV’s version seems to have more and more drama so I know we’ll still have that.
I like the individual challenges, though, because the Team challenges never seem to be as good as they should be
Well, ILM challenges aren’t physical all the time. We had the backstabbing challenge, the spit olympics, the crying game last season.

The Stripper Pole Challenge was pretty physical and those ladies (minus Pumkin) pretty much had the guys beat on that one.
No the Duel has gender eliminations. Girl vs. girl, boy vs.boy. The challenges itself are for both the boys and the girls. At least thats what happened for the first Duel.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that VH1 and MTV are owned by the same parent corporation… It was bound to happen that elements from RR/RW challenges are carrying over into VH1 and vice versa.

I watched ILM1 for Entertainer and Megan. But as much as I hate to admit it, Entertainer is just annoying this season. And I tried hard to keep liking BW this season after all the challenges she threw but this is fucking bullshit and is starting to make me hate the show. I completely agree with penalties for throwing challenges WHEN IT IS SO OBVIOUS. If you are obvious enough to lounge around on the beach working on your tan or to go and throw your own team’s coin into the ocean, there should be a stipulation in the game that you are immediately eliminated or you are at least thrown into the bottom 3 no matter which team wins. This is some f-ing BS all these morons throwing challenges. Blatantly at that. How does Craig not cuss their dumb asses out?
At least on ILM you had people like Megan and Mr. Boston throwing a challenge and no one else caught on. They were good at being subtle. This is so retarded and I bet the next episode BW and whoever else are still going to try to throw a challenge. Shit gets old. I think other people might feel the same and maybe that is why ILM2 is not getting the ratings it should. After a while, you get tired of ROLLING YOUR EYES at everyone. I am really disliking this season now.
VH1, we know you read this site so please, for ILM3 make rules about people who blatantly throw challenges. The show is so much better when people TRY and you can see the actual competition.

The only way I can understand you throwing a challenge is if a large number of your LIFE LONG freinds are on the opposing team and you know without a doubt that they’ll take you to the end…Other than that, its retarted as hell.

True. Didn’t mean too. I was pretty much just saying what it would take for me to help the opposite team win. There’ll have to be atleast 3+ of my BEST friends on the opposite team(and in controll of it!) before I help them win by making my own team lose. If its less than three then I’ll just have to wish them good look and continue helping my own team out.
So pretty much, if my friend is on the other team, we’ll still be competing, but if it ever gets to the point where one of us is in danger of leaving, we’ll do something to try to stop that from happening.
But no, I wouldn’t just be throwing challenges because I want my friend’s team to win(Which is whats happening on ILM). Its absurd.

I agree that there should be a penalty for throwing a challenge and making it so damn obvious. Like Maze said, at least last season they were subtle about throwing the challenges!
Right now I think I’m going to have to say this season is pretty disappointing. The bully alliance is so boring and shitty to watch it hurts. I used to like BW, I really did, but this show has made me change my mind. She is so grating and bitchy that it hurts. I just can’t bring myself to like her anymore. The Enterloser is loud, literally treats himself like a god, and is so fucking annoying it hurts. It doesn’t hurt that almost everybody on his team follows his every command and treats him like a god. Seriously, I can’t wait for him to go next episode, and for the bully alliance to break up. I pray that Saaphyri knocks him down a few pegs. Maybe the game will become a bit more interesting again.
If I hope for one thing, it’s that ILM3 doesn’t fall into a lull like this. Around this time ILM1 was starting to get pretty interesting to watch, I’d say. This season still feels like it needs some more interesting things to happen. For every interesting moment it has to be ruined by one of the more loud people/bullies to interject and make things less enjoyable. I’m hoping that soon things will start to become more interesting, because right now it still feels like things could be more interesting and less annoying to watch.
I disagree, I love the seasons pretty equally. They’re both good in their own way, but what I like about this season is that the two alliances are much more intense than last season when you had alliances changing every episode.
Anyways… I really think it SHOULD be like the RW/RR Challenges, just because…
…they have different formats/rules every show, like men vs. woman (Battle of the Sexes), individuals (The Duel), good guys vs. badasses (Inferno II), rookies vs. veterans (Gauntlet 2, partners (Fresh Meat), etc. etc. Seriously, if the SAME rules are on ILM3, I’ll seriously stop watching it. =/
What’s also good about the RW/RR Challenges is that two contestants fight their way to stay in the game, like a duel.
ILM also needs to change their locations.

I really liked the secret “blond” alliance from last season.
This season is really tiring with all the yelling, and the throwing challenges (Though I did enjoy it when BW, Heat, and 20 pack were in the bottom 3. That was pretty funny. *cues the violin* and heat with his man tears *end cue*). I want to see real competition.
BW/Frank/Sap have way too much air time.
