What was it about Brittaney that got you so worked-up and angry?
It carried over from Rock of Love, but you didn’t really see that, so nobody really understood why I was so angry with her. She got kicked off the Pink Bus because nobody could stand her, and she ended up moving over to the Blue. She took my bed, and I told her she needed to get out of it.
It got heated and she was basically like, “I’m staying here, leave me alone, you’re crazy, blahblahblah. I thought you were one of the real ones on the show, and now I see that you’re just as fake as everybody else. When I heard you on the phone with your kids the other night, I thought you were a good mother and a good person. But I don’t know how you can come on a show like this and abandon your kids like that. You’re a horrible mother.”
I just looked at her like: “Oh, you so don’t even want to go there with me.”
At that point, I knew if I hit her I was off the show. It was like: fine. You keep the bed, I’ll take it back when you’re eliminated. She got eliminated that night, so that was the last time I saw her before Charm School. So, it carried over from that. Obviously, everybody had their own issues with her. So we get there and everyone starts confronting her and she’s acting just as loony as before. We start drinking and I start in on, “Why are you gonna go there with me? You don’t know me. You don’t know how I am. You don’t know anything about me and you’re going to pass judgment on me as a mother.” It escalated from there. You saw us get into it in the room and then out by the pool, I honestly drank so much that I hardly remember it. The only part I remember is grabbing her hair.

Hmmmm… Ok I have thought about it and I don’t want to start another verbal war, but for any one who cares hers my opinion. I got pregnant at 19 and I had my daughter 2 months after my 20th birthday. I am 22 now. My friend is 22 and she has 3 kids. Right now we are both missing being free and single gals in our 20s. It doesn’t mean we don’t love our kids nor are bad parents. So on one hand I can see why Beverly is in a sense acting out. I don’t think she is a bad mother. I really haven’t seen any proof. But I think maybe she needs some help. I mean its one thing to have a glass of wine after the kids are asleep but to get wasted as much as she did makes me think that there is something deeper going on. As for leaving your kids to do a reality show….. that’s a hard one. I am going to Ireland next summer. I am not taking my daughter since she is will only be 3. I fully intend to go to the pubs and have a great time. I will miss her like crazy. (And I do feel a great deal guilty about it. But she is too young to really get much out of it and its something I have always wanted to do. She will actually be flying to Indiana for her dad’s family reunion one of those weeks and going camping with my parents the other.) But would I go on TV and do the same thing??? I doubt it. Even though I know she isn’t there to see me it will always be there recorded on tape how I acted. I am not sure of her kids’ ages but it’s likely they have seen it. Anytime some one implies that I have acted as a less than stellar parent I do think about it. Usually I can see why they feel that way but in my heart I know I am a good parent and my child loves me.

When I write on here I know that sometimes I write a lot that no one cares to read one way or the other. But I like to put my feelings on here too. When others post and I don’t agree I usually don’t reply because even though it’s not my opinion they have a right to theirs. If I disagree strong enough I usually just post my own opinion. But I don’t say I disagree with someone because I am sure they will feel attacked. Can’t we all just get along
Oh and for the record I dont really drink. All the alcohol I have ever drank would probably fill up maybe 2 shot glasses lol. I am mostly going to the pubs to enjoy the atmosphere and people watch
Ok I haven’t added anythin to this conversation about parenting because I feel that the only one who can sy you are a good/badparent is your kids! As long as they are well fed, clothed and in good health, staying out of trouble nd have a roof over their heads your are doing a damn good job and can’t nobody tell you diferent.
Ok let’s look at ome of these parents on VH1:
Leilene: claims she was out doing what she had to do (stripping) to be able to pay the bills. I can’t fault her a legitimate hustle. It’s going to be completely up to her to tell her kids what she did for a living
Beverly: Didn’t show me anything that would put her in teh bad parent list. In fact she seemed really down to earth
Hotlanta: I think her only flaw was in telling too man folks her business and relying on a man to help her take care of her bills. Yeah the dad should be helping help out but you can’t rely on that. You have to be able to handle things on your own. It was no one else’s business that she had notice on her door from the sherrif or that her bills needed to be paid. She just ran her mouth way too much. That’s not attractive, but I would like to see her on Charm School to clear that stuff up in te public’s eye.
Now what about Bret and Flav? All the flack is falling on the women but those me have children too and look at how whorish they are beaving! Why isit ok for them to sleep with several women, drink and be in the public eye while doing it but not the same for women? these double standards are bull shit!
At the end of the day since I consider myself my daughter’s Role Model, I am accountable to no one but her! I think about my actions in certain situations and ask will my daughter be proud of me? If I can honestly answer yes than I’m doing a hell of a job!

Lala Orange, I think in my other post that’s what I was tryin’ to say about Beverly. I’m only 23 and I’m not a mother but a lot of my female peers had children younger than my age now and I can see them really wanting to just wild out and live life but they feel guilty as hell. Shit, mothers are humans too just because you want to have fun does not make you a bad parent. And I really think Beverly got some unresolved issues.
And Will-Lynn! You are fucken RIGHT! Flav got kids and I believe even grand kids now and Brett got kids not too long ago but no one is really saying shit about them and on national tv they’ve dated abouit 60 women. Double standard indeed. They need charm school. LOL.
Women are the ones expected to raise the kids. The man is only expected to financially support. IMO. Not that I necessarily agree because how many men do not pay a dime of child support and force every responsibility on the mother (and vice versa even) but that’s life.

I so agree. I spend all my time with my little girl. Her dad gets her every other weekend and every talks about how great he is. I mean I know alot of guys dont step up but why should I pat him on the back for doing what he should do?? And you are so right what about the men on these shows that have kids? Somebody make a list and lets talk about them! I would but I am on my way to a Rubber Duck Derby with my little one lol. Great comment Will-Lynn and its so true!!!!!

Lol no I am in Georgia. We have been going to it since the first time they held it. But it started pouring rain so they had to put the ducks in early. We were going to go to a butterfly release at a park but it got rained out too

I’m more concerned about the parents who beat and/or molest their kids so what Beverly does as a mother, I don’t think much of it. Too add to the whole bad mother debate. I no longer speak to a sister who claims that I am a bad mother because by taking in my own mother I am neglecting my kids the basic needs of home, food and clothes. My mother has been with my almost six months and the kids have not been homeless, hungry or went to school naked yet, sooooooo.
Would I go on a reality show being a mother no. Are other mothers who do it bad, who am I to say. I also wouldn’t strip to feed my kids, but I say that never being the a positon of where the only way I could feed my kids is to strip.
Yeah I understand. I also think people need to stop & think: what you’re doing is the right thing to do for you. I’d do it too.
Beverly going on Rock of Love Bus when she has 3 kids might be the right thing for her. Who am I to call her a bad mother. But I wouldn’t go on that show.
I have friends that strip. It’s just a job to them. I wouldn’t strip only because that would break my mother’s heart. I have nothing against strippers, nude models, porn stars, etc. And I’m not going to say they’re bad mothers. In fact, a lot of them are great with their kids!
Actually, the only thing I really look at is whether or not you’re attentive to your kids’ needs. If you’re abusing or neglecting them, you’re not a good person. As far as mothering skills, time will tell.
My mom always put my needs first. She started going out again when I was old enough to take care of myself at home; I think I was 15 or 16. I guess that’s my example, and I know all moms can’t be the mother she was. No one can be held to that standard.
So moms deserve to enjoy themselves once in a while. Lala Orange is a good mother, and she’s taking a trip to Ireland. And that’s cool. But it floors me when I hear people say stuff about how good of a mother they are & they’re in a hot tub naked on national tv with Flavor Flav, not to mention on 3 reality shows in 3 years & flying all over the nation doing club promotions 3+ nights a week the rest of the time. (Sorry, Smiley.) It’s just not something I’d want MY son to see on tv or hear about from his friends.
Honestly, Leilene/Smiley’s mothering skills were always questionable to me. Granted, I don’t know her personally but she has so many naked pictures of herself and acts desperate on TV. She’s the only mom in VH1 that I get a little questionable with as far as her mother skills. But I don’t know her so I’m not gonna judge her as a bad mom or not.
Jenna Jameson is the biggest porn star in the world and she just gave birth. I love Jenna, but I hope that when her kids find out about her work she’ll handle it.
Thanks. But its hard people act like as a mother if you dont spend every minute with your kid you are in the same league as a child abuser. But I have to remind myself that while i am gone she is going ot be spending time with her dad and his family nad then going camping with my parents. Once , the baby-daddy gave her $500 so she could take care of the kids and instead of doing that , she spent it all up buying drugs , in ONE DAY !!! ( meanwhile , the kids were starving in the house ) … Now , this is what I called a BAD MOTHER !
