I actually saw part of the show before falling asleep and was impressed that she was so positive to the girl. I also wondered who chooss the stuff these kids get “made” into? I mean this girl was in apredominately white school and knew nothing about rap or hip hop. Chiba gave her a hat, fake chain, adidas jacket and shes and told her to figure out who she was dressed like. So the girl asks her “fello calculus nerds” (her words not mine),what rapper she was dressed like. One kid told her Run DMC and she said Who is he? They mentioned that “he” was the first to mix rock and rap together with Areosmith. So I’m thinking all of those kids were kind of clueless! eventually somene told her about Rev. Run so she felt better but she assumed Run DMC was the man’sfull rap name!

Well, I dig nice shoes. Probably comes from my mother always asking me when I was a child if what she had on looked nice.
You can tell a lot about a woman from the shoes she wears.
And *how* she wears them. I have no shoe fetish, so don’t get me wrong. But, I do tend to check if a woman wears shoes in certain way. Some women tend to drive a car in a manner that wears their shoes out by the ankle, and it looks really badly.
I must be unusual then because that stuff does not matter to me but maybe I am more tomboyish. Like I always wear pants, never skirts or dresses because I find them uncomfortable. I have a pair of sketchers and a couple pairs of nice dress shoes. I don’t paint my nails either. I never got my ears pierced either and I hate jewelry. I had a tongue ring once. But I do wear make up and love form-fitting clothes (nothing baggy ever, plz) and to fix my hair up so I dunno how boyish that is. I think I am weird, lol.
I do everything you do except for the make up, the form fitting clothes (I wear at least 2 layers of clothes when I go outside and because I’m so skinny all my clothes are baggy anyway) and I never got anything on me pierced. But I don’t have any dress shoes and the most I will do to my hair is break out the curling iron every 2 months or so. Any other time I wear it down or put it in a bun.

Personally, that whole idea about women should wear this or that is some bullshit, because we could have been easily be born in a society where men wore skirts and women wore pants, and no one would realize that there was an alternate universe.
Shit, skirts *are* probably uncomfortable, if not weird to wear the first time as a little girl. Though I like them as a man, they don’t really seem to make sense to me. I mean, women walk around with their crotches basically exposed in them things. No?

I have only seen one episode of NYGTW but what I have been noticing on the VH1 blog is after they show an episode they always have the next 3 jobs picked out for the viewers to vote on for the FOLLOWING WEEK. You notice how they already have the people filmed to introduce the upcoming jobs.
So IMO, ALL the jobs for NY have alredy been filmed. The viewers only vote for which of the three jobs they want to see NY do and the ones that have the most votes is the one they air. They edit/add in the other stuff for each show’s confessional later.
If you watch the other VH1 shows, everybody wears their same outfit in each confessional. I really didn’t notice that until I would see Danger in the same polk dot outfit in each of her confessionals.

I read a couple of times everyone being interviewed is required to wear the same outfit each time, even if the person is interviewed every day for weeks (gross). That’s so vh1 editors can splice and manipulate commentary on the cast members.

Well I have noticed it before though.. particularly on ILM because I watched each of those episodes 5 or 6 times. Sometimes they would have Megan in the same bikini with flat hair, or wavy hair. Entertainer would be in the same shirt one episode and look decent and the next episode in the same shirt he’d look hungover and the lighting would be different. Same with the scary Pumkin.

Yeah she needs to learn the undereye concealer trick. thank God I don’t have to use that yet, but I do have PuertoRican in my blood & unfortunately they tend to get the raccoon-eyed look as they age. The ladies on that side of the family say they use a concealer a shade lighter than their skin tone under the eyes. Pumkin needs to do that.
