Matic asks, ‘Is VH1 Taking Viewers For Granted?’

So for 5 weeks we’ve been experiencing the massive decline in the quality of VH1 shows. It really doesn’t do me or anybody else any good to say anything about what’s wrong with Daisy of Love, Charm School 3 and New York Goes to Work because we already know the answer. However it does make me truly wonder why these shows are doing so horribly and what honestly can be done to make these shows better. This is all my opinion but I wanted to share what I have noticed and writing a long comment isn’t quite good enough for this.
**Matic**

Daisy of Love:

DaisyI have never watched one episode of this show, but I do read comments here and I’m aware of all the people quitting on this show. I feel the root of all this show’s problems is mainly linked to casting. It was terrible, and obviously a waste if people are walking out every week. Yea Daisy is portraying herself as a drug addled, blonde bimbo and Riki Rachtman makes every show that he’s on suck harder just with his mere presence, but the contestants are supposed to be what makes the show.

A show can’t be successful if it can’t at the very least make us pretend that it has the possibility of being genuine even if we all know it’s fake and Daisy and the remaining contestants are not doing that.
Averaging 1.4 million viewers a week shows what happens when you take a heavily recycled concept and do everything possible to destroy the elements that make it salvageable.

Charm School 3:

AshleyOk, so before this show came on it seemed like this show had a near-perfect cast, decent Deans and a pretty good choice for the Headmistress.
The first episode aired and it seemed like it was on it’s way to being great. Then the second episode aired and caused an epic divide among the contestants and the viewing audience. But, the last 2 episodes seemed to crash in comparison, and left me wondering why this show isn’t doing better than I had hoped.

As far as the plot of the show goes, it could be argued that the most dynamic contestants (Ki Ki, Farrah, So Hood and Brittaney) left far too early. Also the strong evidence of misplaced and mismatched editing is a source of major frustration to me, and pretty much everyone else who watches this show.

I hope not to seem controversial but when it comes strictly from a numbers standpoint, CS3 is not doing well because black viewers are not interested in the show. Black viewers are the reason why ILM2, FTLORJ, RCOL were more successful than expected and black viewers are the reason why CS3 is under-performing.
To have episode 2 of CS3 only attract 712,000 black viewers as opposed to New York Goes to Work which attracted 985,000 black viewers that same night says that something about this show is off and it has nothing to do with mixing races or shows.

New York Goes to Work:

New YorkThis show is unbearable to watch, yet, simple changes such as having better jobs choices would make the show profoundly better.
Simply put, we hate New York when she’s taken out of her element (cursing people out and talking about them).
The predictability of said jobs makes people want to want to skip the show because we already know what’s going to happen.

Undeservingly, this show is actually doing better than I expected, ratings wise. It has already performed better than the first 4 episodes of NYGTH and DOL.
NYGTW isn’t failing miserably like I expected because black viewers are keeping it afloat; accounting for nearly 60% of the total audience. Added to that fact, viewers are choosing which episodes to watch, as the ratings display an inconsistent pattern.

Conclusion:
It’s inevitable that ratings would decline as we become bored of, or savvy to VH1’s diet of reality TV; but big personalities will always attract an audience.
Unless VH1 can tweak the formula, cast watchable characters, or in New York’s case; return her to the type of show she does best; it won’t be long before no VH1 show can attract a profitable audience.

It will be interesting to see the effect of this garbage on the surefire hits to come; Real Chance Of Love 2, For The Love Of Ray J 2, and Megan Wants A Millionaire.

  1. The only show that I started watching was CS3 but it seems like it has become black vs white and the White women are portrayed as Slutty Bimbos and the black women are portrayed as having the angry Black Women syndrome Daisy, and New York shows just don’t even seem interesting in the previews

  2. So you’re saying… white people don’t care about VH1 :)

    1. I’m not saying that, it’s just that seeing shows black people watch is the only racial demographic that I’ve come across so far. Otherwise shows are usually broken down in terms of the age group of the viewers. However the age demographics are so unreliable (to me anyway) because none of these shows are able to make the top 10 lists every single week. The list with black viewers is more consistent and reliable although I would love to be able to come across another site that breaks down popular shows among other groups.

  3. And WHO is the #2 in the Hall of Fame (redhead)?

    1. Christine.
      Why?

      1. Christine <3

  4. It’s time for a new crop of reality stars. Seriously, their 15 minutes is up.

  5. Before I leave I wanna chime in.

I get where EA is coming from. A majority (well, I should say Flavor of Love) became successful because most the viewers were black thus making this trend that we see today (rock of love, charm school, i love ny, etc..). I’m not black but most of my friends are and we talk about vh1 a lot, oppose to my white friends their into shows that I don’t care about (hills, girls next door, etc…). Not making this a racial thing but I get where EA is coming from. Our point might not be the same but I get it.

I still enjoy CS3 and I don’t think that show is failing. I still like it and it beats the hell out of CS2. I like the mixed races in there and everybody has different personalities. I think people might be loosing interest because of spoilers. That’s just my opinion. It might not be exciting for most people anymore.

I think if VH1 wants to put something new on they should really do the It and Tailor Made show they got out on youtube. Now that shit is funny and different.

  6. i kinda like all tha shows but vh1 dosent even seem to be trying anymore, like i used to be so hype when a new show/episode comes on but now me and my friends have like bets on whos gunna have hav a new show so its not really a surprise… oh danger was the craziest/wildest on the show, coming next fall dangerous love.. leilene lost out on love alot, coming next fall looking for leilene.. oh so n so got beat up at the reunion, coming soon so n so’s show… if u get wat im saying, bottom line vh1 is slackin

  7. Haven’t finished reading but – How do they figure who’s black and who’s white in the ratings? It’s not like they go to people’s houses…

    1. Well when it’s total viewers they don’t count it. For some of these ratings I go to a site that specifically publishes lists about what black viewers watch on TV because it’s a site dedicated to the presence of black people in the media (not celebrities but people who work in the upper management levels of TV, newpapers and magazines). I can link the most recent lists if you want to see them.

      1. I would, actually.
        Thanks. :)

        1. This is the most recent list for cable shows (It’s from 2 weeks ago). The cable list for last week’s shows will be out on Friday. The one for network TV one from 2 weeks ago isn’t showing up right so I’m not going to link that and the new network TV list from last week will be out tomorrow (It was supposed to be out today though).

          http://www.targetmarketnews.com/storyid05290901.htm

The number at the end is the viewer number.

    2. Nielsen extracts data by race, age, earnings and geography I imagine, before they give you a box.

      1. actually, alot of it is done by simple surveys sent to your house. we’ve done a couple of them. however, i didn’t actually do the survey the last time (last year i think) so i couldn’t remember if what personal information was asked. i just remember the time slots and stuff that was filled out.

  8. I’m in the minority here, but I like Daisy of Love just for it’s trashiness.

I do think VH1 is taking us for granted because they know that their core fanbase are the people who’ll watch anything they put out because they put a familiar face on it. And that’s true whether some of ya’ll will admit it or not. Honestly, I’d rather see people I know versus some random nobody off the street, like they do with the MTV challenges.

I do think, though, they need to revamp this concept. I watched the season premier of Paris Hilton’s My New Bff last night and I think VH1 could do well with a competition show that’s not for love or money.

Also, I’m in the minority again, but I WISH they brought back those Ego Trip shows. The White Rapper Show and Miss Rap Supreme were two of my favorite shows on VH1 ever and I’m really sad they got canceled.

    1. Jess i LOVEd white rapper show and Miss rap Supreme!

    2. I don’t know why VH1 didn’t try to have another version of Miss Rap supreme seeing that the ratings for it weren’t too bad at all. I feel that VH1 holds their shows to 2 different standards (That is until the shows affililated with the ‘of love’ franchise starts to slump). I feel they think the ‘of love’ shows are successful when they average over 2 million viewers and shows like Celebrity Rehab, Miss Rap Supreme, Tool Academy and Tough love are successes if they average over 1 million viewers.

      1. I agree. The shows VH1 really should stick with are exactly the ones you mentioned.

Whatever happened to Celebrity Fit Club? THAT was good! At least until they decided to make it a boot camp, where people that really didn’t need to lose weight were competing.

        1. I meant that comment about VH1 sticking to Miss Rap Supreme, Tool Academy, Tough Love & Dr Drew to go with the next paragraph, not to go along with the “I agree” comment. Boy do I need some rest.

        2. I agree I absolutely love Celebrity Fit Club…did it get canceled?

          1. Ionno but that was my show! How are u, KG?

    3. I am with ya Jess on watching someone I know vs watching people I have never seen before. One reason why I could never get into Tough Love, and the others shows like that.

They just need to quit shoving the same people down out throats again and again.

FOL3 girls should have got a chance to be on CS before Rol or RCOL girls. We just watched them!

      1. But I think the reason they got in before FOL3 *was* because we just watched them, and therefore fresher in peoples minds. And the fact FOL3 was kind of a flop.

  9. i prefer FOL and RCOL over all these shows.. bring FLAV back!

    1. Flav is sooooo mufuggin sexxxxxxy!

  10. EA you have really nailed what the issue is with VH1. Editing sucks! On the shows and on the reunions! I don’t even go to the web site anymore to watch the extras because it is just extended versions of what was on earlier!

I think for VH1 to do better in the rating, they are going to have to come up with someone viewers care about. The reason I watched FOL so faithfully was because I really cared about Flav and wanted to see him find love (this of course before I realized it was all fake), I was interested in NY so I turned into her show, etc.

While I do watch DOL it is more out of habit, then a actually giving a dang about who she ends up with. Actually I watch it more for 12 pack then Daisy.

Really VH1 needs to kill the Of love shows for a while, I enjoy I Love Money, but bring on someone we haven’t seen in a while, I would love to see Hottie, Red Oyster, anybody from FOL3 then look at Buckwild, the Entertainer, or even Pumpkin again.

    1. Well the editing does suck but what’s even worse is that the extras either have extended scenes of stuff we really didn’t care to see in the first place, random stuff they could have left out completely, or their new strategy of hyping a fight for the next week and then you go to the extras 5 minutes after the show goes off and there’s the fight in the extras for this week.

Also they like to leave out extended scenes of parts most people wanted to see. It’s so unorganised. They put in stuff completely out of order just to push a storyline or cut stuff and then when we see the whole thing we realize that shit was beyond stupid to begin with and should have never been put in the show or the extras.

  11. Well, EA you are absolutely right about Vh1 shoveling trash to the viewing public. You can only have so much “Love” shows before the quality of the shows deteriorate. Who wants to see Brett Micheals fake another “looking for love” farce. He has been a cock-hound throughout his career and will not settle down to one woman no matter how old sick and bald he gets. Flav didn’t…New York didn’t…Real and Chance won’t…Daisy sure as hell won’t…Megan shouldn’t be allowed to…and the list goes on.

I agree with the reader above, that they would do a lot better with It and Tailor Made in a reality show. It doesn’t matter if it’s running for office or just day to day life.

Instead of New York goes to Work, they should have continued her pursuit of celebrity status in New York goes to Hollywood 2.

Surely with 51 minds thinking on a daily basis, “51 Minds” should be able to think up a winning formula for the Vh1 lineup.

This was just my opinion. Opinions are like ass holes…everyone should have one.

  12. I think “tough love” was a refreshing concept from all these love elmination shows. I fully enjoyed watching and I also Loved Tool Academy. All my friends got into it, and had such memorbale quotes as “bottom bitch”. I think VH1 needs to take a break from characters such as New York adn Daisy who have gone over their 15 mins of fame.

    1. You do know what a bottom bitch *actually* is right?

      1. thats like one of the lowest things 2 call ur girlfriend

      2. yupp.. i do.

        1. Massie I agree with you. Tough Love was the best thing VH1 pulled out of their ass in a while. I Love Money was great but Tough Love was awesome.

  13. if anyone cares lol london supposedly returns on daisy of love midseason

    1. NVRTHERE is a cutie!

      1. lol thanks ur pretty cute 2

        1. ILY!

      2. HELL yea :)

        1. lol thank u 2

    2. I heard that too

  14. I called 51 Minds lol , and let them know about the fact that the shows are getting boring and the lady on the phone told me :
” well , everyone’s allowed to have their own opinion , but as producers , we’re going to keep doing what’s best for the company ” .. I was like ” best for the company ?! , have you seen the ratings ? ” and she was like ” well , once again , if the company enjoys our work then , that’s all that matters . ”

I also asked her about the Brittanya/So Hood fight and she said that she couldn’t discuss this with me , because she’s not allowed to but she added that the editing is based on a story that the network is asking for . So , I guess that they didn’t show the So Hood/Brittanya fight , because it wouldn’t fit to Brittanya’s character , she’s supposed to be the THUG and if she was shown getting slapped and not doing anything , it wouldn’t have made sense !

    1. I think they edit things out because they’re trying to portray the VH1 reality “stars” as characters. They have to edit out Bubbles making sense, Marcia being sober, BayBayBay being calm & laid back, Ashley being demure, Brittaney Starr acting sane (but I honestly don’t know that’s possible), etc.

So Hood didn’t do anything to Brittanya. Editing or not, she’s lying. She probably bumped against her when she was walking through the hall & almost knocked her over, but slapping? Never happened. Even Brittanya said that shit never happened. I’m going with her.

      1. Then why is Bayx3 saying it did?
You know Brittanya’s the type to lie about it to make herself still look tough.

          1. I just vomited.

    2. That’s funny…and sad however I damn sure wouldn’t expect lower level people to be able to tell you anything. They pretty much always get fed lines by the company to tell the general public and it’s easier for them because that means they don’t have to learn anything else about the company or what’s going on behind the scenes. It works for pretty much every company you can think of.

      1. That’s what I thought . I mean , she sounded like she was annoyed by my call , because she didn’t have anything to answer . I think that if I had asked one more question ( and God knows that I got plenty questions to ask them ) , she would’ve hung up on me !

        1. :-)

Did you sign up for that VH1 thing Jess posted? They “supposedly” want ideas.

          1. Really ?! What’s the link ?! I didn’t get it

            But I don’t think they’ll take them into account , though .

            1. http://www.vh1vip.com/home.svc

You have to click on the not a member part under the login info. They make you fill out some questions and there is a chance that they won’t accept you.

            2. Ok , thanks EA :)

            3. Well , it’s useless . I don’t even live in the US !

            4. That blows. I haven’t even been there, so I had no idea. I guess that rules Steupz out too.

Off topic just for a second but this is a very sweet picture. And yes, her brows are tatted on.

              http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=456618025&albumID=991052&imageID=9817098

          2. cool I got in I’ll check it out

          3. Technically Steupz can. He’s in Brooklyn a lot. If Aur can lie about his age, I’m sure Steupz can lie about where he lives. Although I think he’ll get rejected ’cause he’s a blogger.

  15. nothing would shock me at this pt. I can easly believe she got slapped, cuz she has not shown she could hold her own, but 51 minds is truely ridiculous.

  16. You do have a point there CJ, Look at the Entertainers and how his character has evolved since he first shown up on VH1. They hid his bitchness well during ILNY2 LOL

    1. They had to hide the Entertainer’s assholeness on ILNY2. How else can anyone feel sorry for a loser if he acts like an asshole? Just like they hid Chance and Real’s femininity on ILNY1.

      1. True.

And true about Real & Chance’s homosexuality.

        1. Buckwild, Real and the Entertainer are three people I used to love, now can’t stand.

Tailor Made and It, two people I used to hate, but now adore. It is all in the editing. I am sure none of these people have had life changing events happen to them that would make them have that much of a personailty change from one show to the next.

          1. I seriously think they just need to let people be who they are. Didn’t they learn ANYTHING from Jerry Springer’s show? When the producers started “coaching” people AND the audience, it tanked. Any show dealing with real people will suffer the same demise if people are expected to portray a character instead of being who they are.

          2. What?! OMG! I can understand hating the Entertainer, but NOT Buckwild. That’s my girl. Her and Saaphyri!!

  17. Hey now … Real is just in touch with his Feminine side (or just hair) :)

    1. ahahahaha!

      1. CJ cute pic!

        1. Thank you!

  18. Yeha, just cleaned our my files. I am def lovin the new pic CJ and ur new icon looks good 2 beezy.

    1. Mwah! Beezy’s is FIYAH!

      1. Thanks Girls

  19. Hmmm… how about VH1 doing a ‘Real World’ version with ‘of Love’ stars? Put 7 or 8 contestants in a house for 2 months. They should do like 2 seasons every year. I’d tune in.

Each ILM season, they should have different locations, rules and concepts like the RW/RR Challenges. They can do like men vs. women, individuals (throughout the whole game, like ‘The Duel’), rookies vs. veterans, partners, etc. The eliminations should be one-on-one battles.

They need to stop giving NY shows unless it’s ILNY3. NO MORE spinoffs with a contestant looking for her/his own love. The only one who really deserved their own show was NY.

They also need to put these ‘of Love’ shows on haitus, except ILM. They can revive it in a few years with the new generation… so maybe you’ll me on one of these showd. :)

    1. V, have you considered signing up for that thing & lying about your age? Others have. You have great ideas.

      1. I didn’t really care for it. Hmm… maybe I’ll try signing up saying I’m 18.

I heard they judge you on your occupation too. What exactly are they looking for?

        1. I lied about my age and answered no to all their yes/no questions.

      2. LOL
So great ideas = things that have already been on other networks?

    2. Veronica, I submitted that exact idea to them. I told them they should do more ILM but with different concepts rather than one person just winning

      1. Oh, cool.

  20. Really enjoyed Tough Love and Tool Academy. It was something different. These “of Love” shows tend to do better during their first seasons and happen to worsen as their respective sequels crop out. I think that’s why Ray J’s show managed to earn higher ratings. Whether it was something people found boring, I think it’s change in presentation was drastic enough for viewers to come back to a formula that has long run its course.

I think as long as VH1 manages to alter the perception of their shows (and not reinvent them), their ratings should hold steadier.

    1. VH1. We used to love them for their sleaze, but now the shows that people enjoy are Tool Academy/Tough Love/Celebrity Rehab/Miss Rap Supreme/For the Love of Ray J. These shows are a little less campy than Flavor Flav and The Surreal Life were, even though those shows were awesome back 3 years ago. They just need to stop with Bret Michaels & Daisy and the whole New York working crap. The sleaze shows are fake now

      1. Dude, MRS was the campiest of them all, and I STILL loved it.

  21. They need to bring back the Surreal Life. I loved Scream Queens as well. I think those 2 were my fave VH1 non-of Love Shows.

  22. Brittanya and 20 Pack
    1. Still not fooling me. Even with the goofy look on his face.

    2. What’s that homosexual doing with my woman? That’s right, nothing!

      1. your woman??? Oh no, there’s about to be a scrap

        1. David vs Goliath?

    3. that just dont look right .. Hmm i cant figure out why

    4. oh fuck no, y did brittanya do that to herself.. she’s supposed to be sitting next to me lol she’s hot y is she wit 20 packalina

  23. Hey cj how can I add my pic on here yours is very beautiful I wanna show the world my face

    1. Gravatar.com; thank you sweetie!

  24. O.T.S. – need an e-mail.

  25. 20 Pack looks so hot there.

    1. :::throws salt in your eyes and performs Five Knuckle Shuffle:::

      1. o_O

    2. I agree!! But Brittanya is not cute. She looks like a witch and reminds me of the Nanny.

  26. LMFAO @ CJ saying Flav is sooooo mufuggin sexxxxxxy you need to stay off that purple haze

    1. STFU DUCK!

  27. We welcome the new King and Queen of VH1 to New York

    Ray J and Cocktail
    1. GTFOOH!

    2. i know you not talking about little ray

    3. COCKtail will NEVER be my queen.
      Never.

    1. Thank yuh!

  29. I can’t think of any celebrities that I would like to see on VH1

  30. Sorry; on friend’s PC, just in case CL is watching…

    1. dildo

      1. Zoophiliac.

        1. Ha

          The Grim Reaper
  31. I’m Terri, Chrisina’s friend. I don’t blog here, but I always come to Bourgy to read the recaps for Bad Girls Club and I Love Money.
One day I’m going to sign up. This website is very fun. You all are so intelligent.
I just wanted to give Matic a Kudos on this piece. I have been feeling like this for a long time. I hope Mindless Entertainment reads this.

    1. :::cocks one eye:::

    2. You don’t needa sign up. Just a name and email.
Are you a beautiful and delicate flower, too?

      1. LOL!

        STOP DROOLING OVER MY FRIEND!

  32. I think the producers of these VH1 shows need some help from the Bad Girls Club producers; they ALWAYS edit their shows well.

  33. I really think what it comes down to is that we all know all these shows are fake and for the cameras. However, they have gotten faker as time has gone on.
FTLORJ was cool because even though you knew it was edited and whatever, it had a realness to it. In saying that though, I did enjoy ROLB, Tough Love (excellent show), and I’ve actually started to dig Daisy of Love. Not because of Daisy, I think she’s empty, but many of the guys on that show are crazy.
Charm School is just ok for me, I like the cast a lot, but again it’s all very fake I don’t think any of those girls wants to change, but I do think that they’ll act like they want to for 100,000 bucks. Try that show without a prize. Or maybe at the end they get a new job or something.
I watch NYGTW usually when drunk, that show should die, but when she’s answering the fan letters she’s funny. NY need a show where she can just hate on people or something. Maybe, give her a talk show I would have liked to see NY give out advice.
I think eventually VH1 is going to have to face the fact that it’s a music station and it’s run this concept into the ground. Bring back behind the music, and where are they now. I don’t know, but they are going to have to move quickly, they are living off of these 51 minds shows when in reality they should only have one a year instead of the 3 or 4 that they’ve been having.
That said, I still watch, I’m totally addicted and I probably won’t stop watching them, until they really start to suck- 20 Pack of Love comes to mind….

  34. kinda interesting, after this brilliant piece was posted, rich posted this on the blog, stating “I’m guessing this didn’t make the final episode, because after a few more fights like these, they’d have to change the name of this show to Scream School.”

    http://www.vh1.com/video/play.jhtml?id=1612185&vid=394969

    just thought it was coincidential

i feel ridiculous for saying this, but in that clip above, i would’ve handled that crumy situation the exact same way brittany did. im a nonconfrontational person and i dont like drama (“lord” knows my life will be drama free when this disgusting mess i work with gets fired!) and im sooo tired of hearing these mouths going off about nothing!

  35. As far as New York Goes To Work, I think they should have done the show in a way to get more involvement from the viewing audience. Its pretty cool to have people vote for what job they want to see her do, but they is no incentive to do so other than entertainment. Why should I as a viewer care if SHE gets $10,000 for successfully performing a job. I would have set up the show so that if she is successful at the job, then like 5 people who voted for her to do that job could each win $10,000 themselves as well. Now the viewers care about voting.

  36. i think this whole topic is funny. it’s talking about the dicline in “quality” of a VH1 reality show. that’s like talking about the decline in quality of McDonald’s food, Hyundai, Payless shoe products, ect. VH1 reality shows have never been about quality anyway. However, i remember reading about how studies have shown where black children on average in america watch more tv than any other races. so the theory of success being linked to black viewers seems accurate. It’s also backed up by the success of Flavor of Love being the first to launch these shows anyway.

    1. also, i want to add to my statement concerning black people and tv. it should be observed that when it comes to tv there are very few options. thus when shows come out that target/appeal to african americans the numbers tend to be concentrated and thus higher. outside of bet, which many black people still don’t get outside of urban markets, there is very little. white people have the luxury of EVERY cable and tv station with the exception of BET and Telemundo catering to their various interests. so the ability to pick and choose leaves channels like VH1 finding greater success with african american markets even with trashy low quality shows.

  37. this is random but did anyon know that Dallas from ROL and Rock of Love Charm School is in a wendy’s commercial

  38. Did anyone see the Youtube duel going on between Raven Masterson from Rock of Love and Charm School 2. It got so crazy that Youtube had to suspend her account. She was ranting about how men were the scum of the earth and that if she had a kid (and it was a boy) that she would abort it. A lot of men chimed in and tore her up for the ghettogaggers thing she did.

    1. Think of all the potential little boys that died on her face. I guess that counts.

  39. That’s basically what they said to her. It was hilarious. The video that she posted was titled I HATE MEN and she received many responses for it. It was an instant classic. That chick is messed up in the head. The sick thing is that she had many followers supporting her topics.

    1. Is it terrible that she reminds me of Bjork? A talentless, feminazi, ghetto gagging, asshole-ish version of Bjork? She’s more deserving of the insane fan who’s going to mail her a bomb and kill himself in her name.

  40. you guys are hating one her. however, i can’t help but feel sorry for her. i chatted with her on one of her many webpages. she basically cursed me out before i got dialogue going. but i still just feel pity. she must have alot of troubles going on to be so angry and make the terrible decisions she does.

  41. How am I hating? She said a lot of things out of line and I’m not going to kiss her ass because I’m afraid of what she has to say. I said my piece to her and she kept repeating the same tired old stuff. Her bark is weak when you listen to content. If you agree with her then you’re just as jaded………..

  42. I’m a black female and I’m watching DOL and CS3. I think Daisy isn’t getting rating b/c people aren’t giving the show a chance. I happened to start watching by reading Rich’s blog about the episode when they formed bands and made a song. I was reading and I’m like this sounds too crazy, I have to see this. After watching, I really like the show. It has everything trash reality TV is supposed to have- dumb, crazy characters that you just can’t turn away from. I think if more people gave it a chance and saw how funny the show is, it would do better. Seriously, just watch episode 3(the best one IMO) and tell me you don’t like this show.

As for CS3, I’m so pissed about the show. It’s sooo predictable and the editing is terrible. I feel like they’re trying to manipulate me into believing stuff that doesn’t even makes sense. I’m still watching but I’m really disappointed. And it hurts that some of the most contoversial people went home so early.

As for NY, even I have my limits of crap that I’ll watch. The show doesn’t interest me at all.

  43. I think that NY should have her own talk show where she’ll have guests from eliminated and controversal contestants from VH1 shows. her guests will talk ish about people, try to solve(instigate) problems and stuff.

and why doesnt KO understand the word instigate?

  44. Ive been thinking about this, and I really think Vh1 should remodel their entire channel.

    VhNEW.

New line-ups, new ideas, new everything!

They should really scrap all these ‘of love’ shows and focus on something new.

They should try and get more shows about musicians and their lifes. More shows like Tough Love & Brooke Knows Best would work too. We really just need the vh1 that was more centered around actual celebs, and not these CELEBREALITY retards.
