MTV Won’t Air Jersey Shore Punch On Snooki
What happened to Snooki was a crime and obviously extremely disturbing. After hearing from our viewers, further consulting with experts on the issue of violence, and seeing how the video footage has been taken out of context not to show the severity of this act or resulting consequences, MTV has decided not to air Snooki being physically punched in the face

I fail to see why one random, drunken act of violence towards a woman results in the pulling of what was probably going to cause them to have the highest rated episode, and is now labeled domestic violence.. Since when did these fuckers grow hearts?
Also, I’m sure if it was a girl that hit her, or a guy hitting another guy, MTV would be all over that shit. I get why it’s ‘disturbing’ but still. :/

It’s not promoting violence. The act already occurred and by people’s reaction it shows a clear message that this kind of shit is wrong. Snooki would get a lot of support from viewers after this was shown too. If I were her, I would want the asshole that punched me in the face to be exposed on TV. Seriously MTV, do the girl justice.

No No No! I wanted to see this, badly. I don’t know why MTV are saying it is inappropriate to show the footage. If anything people’s reactions are shock that the girl was physically abused and actually promotes that behavior like that is unacceptable. But MTV can kiss my ass for doing this whole bait and switch thing. Fuck them, thinking they are going to show the clip in the commercials and “next week” segments and then decide to pull that portion of the show. Please, if they weren’t going to show the punch scene then they knew about it way before this and promoted it anyway. MTV has shown people shooting up on drugs on shows like True Life in the past, but they can’t show a punch, which they already showed and now no one will get to see the full thing. They are the ones who took it out of context and refuse to put it in the correct context now. MTV and VH1 suck now. Actually, the entire Viacom corporation sucks.

This sort of thing (pulling of episodes/series) usually happens at the last minute instead of it being planned. A good example of this is Megan Wants A Millionaire, and the weekend after whatshisface killed his wife.
And it’s not ‘just a punch’ — it’s (probably) the first time a woman has been punched so blatantly on national television, by a man. Yes, others found it disturbing and unacceptable but that doesn’t change the facts.

I usually don’t post but needed to vent about this. I totally disagree with MTV’s decision not to air the punch. Is this reality TV or edited, fake, fantasy garbage. If MTV wants to call this a reality show, they need to be uncompromising and HONEST in the airing of what happens during the taping of the show- the good, the bad, and the ugly. The fact that they aren’t going air this lets me know it’s not reality tv, it’s “what we decide to show you tv”. They don’t deserve our viewership if they’re going to cheat the viewers like this. As as a result, I won’t be watching Jersey Shore anymore. I am completely turned off and disgusted with MTV.
When they did this with “Meagan Wants a Millionaire” and “I Love Money” I swallowed it, but now its clear that when things get too REAL for Reality TV, they edit or cut it. MTV/VH1 are a bunch of cowards and hypocrites. The viewers deserve better.
