Massie’s Vampire Diaries Season 3 Episode 14 Summary 
Awake and kicking, this episode wastes no time showing us what The Originals are up to. Rebekah wants revenge on Elena for stabbing her in the back, but her plains are foiled when Elijah steps in (Looking hotter than ever by the way).
The next day, Elena receives an invitation to attend a ball, hosted by The Originals. Elena ends up being escorted by the Salvatore men.
The Parent Trap
Meanwhile, Caroline is trying to communicate with Tyler but he is away trying to put Bill’s methods into practice. This leaves the door open for Klaus to send an invitation – to the ball - to Caroline and it’s accompanied by a pretty gown.
Everyone in town is at this shindig and in no real surprise, Elena looks stunning compared to everyone else (This chick must have dresses stockpiled for all the events this town seems to have. I do love how they purposely made everyone else look shitty!)
As it turns out, everyone in town is also skilled at dancing a centuries old waltz (Every time I see choreographed dance numbers, I think of She’s All That).
Esther wants to talk to Elena privately at the ball, but Damon isn’t having any of that since he thinks it could be a trap. (Oh yeah, the Mother Witch who can kill anyone needs to set a trap for Elena)
This leads Elena to plot with Stefan to find a way to distract Damon. The mission is accomplished courtesy of a neck snap!
¿Como Esther Usted?
Alone with Esther, Elena asks how she is alive. (Fuck… are you writing a book or something? Always need to know shit) It is explained that one of Bonnie’s descendants helped seal the casket and preserve her body. ‘Tis why only Bonnie and Abby were able to unseal it. Esther continues, revealing that Nature has punished her for turning her family into an abomination and she is back to right all her wrongs.
Elena immediately thinks killing Klaus is the game plan, but Esther explains it is not that simple. In order to kill Klaus, she must unify her children as one, so if one dies, they all die. (Like fucking why?)
In order to accomplish this, the party’s champagne has to be laced with Elena’s blood, the first phase of the spell to be cast. (Again, why her blood? That makes no sense to effect the plan. There must be another reason.)
Kol Blooded
Still bent on hurting Elena, Rebekah - assisted by her brother, Kol - decides to kill Matt. The trap is set, but Rebekah has a change of heart when Matt is kind to her. (It never makes sense to me that a human in this town would take a fucking walk with a Vampire. Really now.)
Back in the grand ballroom, Esther’s plan goes off without a hitch. Poor Elijah thinks he and Elena are on the same side but that bitch lies to his face and lets him drink the champagne - or at least appears to. (I hope that bitch gets tortured to death. She is just deplorable and feigns morality when she doesn’t have none)
Outside, Klaus is trying to buy Caroline’s affection, but it doesn’t work and she explains he has to understand people if he wants to really connect with them.
And Damon? Well, everyone is pretty much telling him he is a liability… he cares too much about Elena. Elena agrees and explains she had to exclude him from her plans because he would have ruined everything trying to play hero. (Bitch, you would have no plan if it weren’t for Damon saving your cunt every other week.)
Kol, as bloodthirsty as he is vain, finds Matt alone on the balcony and is this close to turning him into a snack when Damon appears, pushes Kol over the balcony and snaps his neck. (Like wtf, is he a counterfeit Original or something?)
Sealed With A Diss
Away from the violence, Caroline’s words have resonated with Klaus and he paints and gifts her a picture of her and his favorite horse as appreciation for her honesty. (It hasn’t happened yet, but, when did men fucking girls under 18, become acceptable on television?)
As it turns out, Finn - who makes Elijah look as manly as Richard Simmons - is, and nobly so, in on Esther’s plans to kill the family. It is his blood which completes the spell, linking the family as one.
In what seems like a constant scene with these two, Stefan and Elena have a moment where she wants him to show he cares, but he tells her that if he allows himself to care, all he feels is pain (This is some real Emo shit. This is scene-rape, they are forcing these two on us now .)
The episode ends with Damon and Rebecca having angry sex after both being rejected by their crushes.
They gave Elijah the better tuxedo but Klaus ruled in this Episode.
Just a pity Rebekah had to shag Matt. I hoped she’d boink Alaric, who was conspicuously absent this episode. (I think he’s the killer)

The Woman In Black was a good old fashioned horror film. Probably will be on my best of 2012 year. Go see it. Not the scariest thing I’ve ever seen, but it does the job.

That did look pretty good. I saw The Vow tonight and I liked it a lot more than I thought I did. Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams did the best they could have with the storyline and writing. Nowhere near “The Notebook” status but it’s worth 10 bucks.

I thought it was pretty repetitive and plotless in the beginning cuz he got to the village and it was creepy, then he went to the mansion and some more creepy things happened, then he went back to the village and more creppy things happened, then he went back to the mansion and more creepy things happened. But when he stayed the night and the woman appeared it got really good and I really enjoyed it

I thought this was a pretty solid episode better than weeks past. I am confused though maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention but I thought since all of them drank the blood and she did the little woohoo spell they’d all die? Or is it going to be some drawn out thing and finish it up in the finale?
Yeah, I think there’s another phase to the spell’s completion.
But, even so, not all of them drank… I am fairly certain neither Klaus nor Elijah sipped the Kool Aid.
